This installation includes sample data, designed to show some of the options available when building a website. Alongside the pages about Joomla itself, there are two sample "sites within a site" to work from.

The first is a simple personal site about Australian Parks. It shows how quickly a site can be assembled from the building blocks that come with Joomla: a blog, a category of articles, and a simple image gallery.

The second is slightly more involved, and represents what a small business site might look like — in this case a Fruit Shop.

When building either kind of site, or something else entirely, the next steps are usually to add extensions and to choose a template. A template controls the layout, typography and colour of every page, and can be configured without editing code.
