Joomla!

This site runs on Joomla, an open source content management system. Joomla handles the pages, menus, users and media behind the site, so content can be added and edited from a browser without touching code.

It scales in both directions. The same system runs a handful of pages for a small organisation and a large site with a substantial audience, and because it is open source there is no licence fee and no restriction on adapting it.

The sample content in this installation is a tour of what Joomla can do out of the box. Each page describes a component, module or plugin that comes with a standard install, and doubles as a demonstration of how this template styles that kind of content.
